Angela Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Angela Hill, 58, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Landtroop and Rev. Roger Dale Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Deadwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Family visitation will be Friday 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hill died February 20, 2013, peacefully at her home in Carthage, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Angela Gaye Luman Hill was born October 5, 1954 in Carthage, Texas to the marriage of Noah and Jane Dickerson Luman. She attended schools in Carthage, Texas and Albany, Georgia, later obtaining her Associates degree as an R.N. in nursing at Panola College graduating in May of 2000. Angela worked for the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas, and was a member of the Carthage United Pentecostal Church. She is preceded in death by her mother Jane Dickerson Luman. Mrs. Hill is survived by her loving family, husband, Dr. L. Royce Hill of Carthage, father, Noah Luman and wife Olean of Carthage, daughter, Dreama Walker of Carthage, and her grandchildren, Kasie Stevens and Dustin Wilkinson, Lora Ritter and Brittany Kuler, brothers, Ronald Luman and wife Leslie of Nacogdoches, Terry Luman and wife Sylvia of Palestine, and Bud Luman of Carthage, sisters, Lora Jane Taylor and husband Dwight of Carthage Rosa Brownlee of Flatwoods, Louisiana, Cynthia Phillips and husband Allen of Flatwoods, Louisiana, step sons, David Hill and wife Sharon and their son Liam of San Jose, California Mark Hill of Boulder, Colorado, sister-in-law, Brenda Hill of Atlanta, Georgia, special friend, Charlotte Neil of Atlanta, Georgia, great grandchild, Carson Clanton, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Luman, Jonathan Luman, Justin Luman, Steven Luman, Fred “Doc” Lee, Jr., Bruce Lee, Glen Luman and Paul Luman. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen James Luman, Wesley Brownlee, Anthony Brownlee, Bryan Brownlee, Rickey Luman, Jacob Phillips and Dustin Wilkinson. The family request donations to the Carthage United Pentecostal Church.
