Mrs. Ann Rebert

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Lou Rebert, 90, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 5, 2016 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Freddy Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Six Mile Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday one hour prior the service at Hawthorn’s. Anna Lou Rebert went to be with her Lord Saturday January 2, 2016. She was born May 11, 1925 in Clark County, Springfield, Ohio to Allen and Mabel Tuttle Craig. She graduated from Plattsburg High School in Springfield, Ohio in 1943. Anna Lou and Roger T. Rebert were married July 25, 1942 in Greenup, Kentucky before his deployment to Europe during World War II. They celebrated 73 years of marriage before his passing October 22, 2015. Anna Lou and Roger raised three children in a loving home. Anna Lou and Roger Rebert began their life together in Springfield, Ohio and then moved to Girardeau, Missouri and later to Carthage, Texas. Ann was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Carthage and a former member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, MO. She also attended First Methodist Church of Carthage. Ann belonged to and enjoyed flower clubs in Springfield and Cape Girardeau. She also performed volunteer work for hospitals in Cape Girardeau and Carthage. Mrs. Anna Lou Rebert is survived by two daughters, Connie and husband David Bush of Carthage, Sylvia Rebert of Jackson, MO., and one son, Tom and wife Janis Rebert of Cape Girardeau, MO, grandchildren, Cody Bush of Carthage, Staci Baker and husband Dane of Cape Girardeau, MO, Dustin LeGrand and his wife Kristina of Jackson, MO, grandson-in-law Brad Peterson of Carthage, great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Aubrey Baker, Alyssa LeGrand, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandchildren, Jackie Bush Peterson and James Shannon Bush, brother, Allen Eric Craig, and sister, Kathleen Haley. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Bush, David Bush, Cody Bush, Brad Peterson, Pat Garrett and Grady Bill Wedgeworth.
