Mr. Edward D. Moore

Funeral services for Mr. Edward D. Moore, 70 of Tatum, Texas will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Stegall officiating. Burial will follow in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2014 at Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Moore passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Longview, Texas. Mr. Edward Drew Moore was born February 28, 1944 in Marshall, Texas. He was raised by his loving aunt and uncle, Guy and Mary Dean in Karnack Texas where he attended schools there. Edward married Sherry Lynn Kelley February 21, 1968 and they celebrated 46 years together. Mr. Moore worked as a welder for King Tool for over 35 years. He loved working in the yard, fishing with his uncle Chester and brother Willie. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Pope Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Moore of Tatum, daughters, Penny Reed and Phillip Hollis of Longview, Natalie Stewart and husband Mark of Tatum, brother, Willie Scott and wife Delsie of Waskom, sisters, Johnnie Faye Friesz of Marshall, Jannie Horn of Marshall, grandchildren, Amber Reed of Longview, Autumn Moore and Issac Gunrola of Tatum, Bree Stewart of Tatum, Carson Hollis and wife Jennifer of Henderson, and Courtland Esters Tyler of Henderson, great grandchildren, Talan Stone of The Woodlands, Haylee, Kaylee and Isaac Gunrola all of Tatum, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Special thanks to Charlie Tullis and Bobby Blankenship for being so good to him. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Ross, David Kirkland, Roger Kirkland, John Craig, Bobby Blankenship, Tommy Qualls, Baron Garrigea, Chris Friesz, Michael Scott, Ricky Scott, honorary bearers, Francisco Cardoso, Alex Cardoso, Javier Pena, Santiago Cardose, Serando Quintero, Victor Cordosa, Carlos Victoria, Bobby Bell, Charlie Tullis and Jack Boney.
