Mrs. Martha Ann Allen Griffith

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ann Griffith, 88, of Kingwood, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Long Branch Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Martha Ann Allen Griffith was born September 16, 1937, in Beckville, Texas, to Vivian Williams Allen and Andrew Floyd Allen. She passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, in Humble, Texas. Martha was the second of four children and was raised in Beckville, where she graduated with the Bearcat Class of 1955. She later attended Panola Junior College. On November 19, 1955, she married the love of her life, Autry Wayne Griffith. Together they shared more than 70 wonderful years of marriage and built a loving family centered on faith, devotion, and enduring love. Autry preceded her in death in February 2026. Martha and Autry were faithful members of Second Baptist Church of Kingwood. She found joy in sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, and baking, and was an active member of the Kingwood Garden Club. Above all else, Martha cherished her family. Whether attending the sporting events and activities of her children and grandchildren or simply gathering loved ones together, her life was devoted to caring for and supporting those she loved most. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Autry Wayne Griffith; an infant son, Dennis Griffith; a daughter, Llonda Griffin; and her siblings, Nora Robinson, Olive Acker, and William Floyd “Bubba” Allen. Mrs. Griffith is survived by her sons, Stuart Griffith and wife Nancy of Crosby, Randall Griffith and wife Cindy of Crosby, and Bradley Griffith and wife Kelly of Crosby; grandchildren, Chad and Rachel Griffith, Travis and Melissa Griffith, Austin and Kelli Griffith, Randa Griffith, Heather and Matt Porter, Chase and Jeanette Griffin, Lauren and Tyler Eidsness, Lexie Griffith, and Grace Griffith; 13 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Griffith, Travis Griffith, Austin Griffith, Chase Griffin, Ty Griffith, Gavin Griffith, Beau Griffith, and Hunter Griffith.
