Master Sergeant Ben Sepaugh

Graveside funeral services with Military Honors for retired Master Sergeant Ben Sepaugh, 94, of Carthage, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery with Mr. Colton Holland, Bro. Richard Reed and Bro. Marshall Moorehead officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Hawthorns. Mr. Ben Edd Sepaugh was born January 16, 1931, in Carthage, Texas. He passed this life September 14, 2025, in Carthage, Texas. Ben was the older of two sons born to the marriage of Pearl Josie Majors and Frank Rogers Sepaugh. He was raised and schooled in Carthage, Texas graduating with the Bulldog Class of 1950. Ben served his country through the U. S. Air Force retiring as a Master Sergeant. He married his love Paula Ann McMillan and together they celebrated 66 years of marriage. Mr. Sepaugh served as a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage. He was a co-founder of the Panola County Gun Club and built the gun range. He was a lifetime member of the Texas State Rifle Assoc., Benefactor member of the National Rifle Assoc. and an Endowment member of the Whittington Center. Ben was a loving husband and dedicated family man. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Sepaugh is survived by his loving wife, Paula Sepaugh of Carthage; children, Steven Biegel and wife Ashley of Rosharon, Teresa Sepaugh of Carthage, Roger Sepaugh and wife Kay of Carthage; brother, Frank Sepaugh and wife Fay of Carthage; grandchildren, Benjamin Biegel, Aaron Sepaugh and wife Amber, Matthew Mowery, Brittany Lawrence, Sarah Hill and husband Gentry, Kristina Mojica and husband Danny, Colton Holland and wife Amy, Hunter Lawrence; great grandchildren, Taylor Hill, Tucker Sepaugh, Cambreigh Mojica, Brayden Sepaugh, Wyatt Holland, Bexleigh Mojica, Koveigh Mojica, and Gracie Mowery: nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Sepaugh, Brayden Sepaugh, Tucker Sepaugh, Colton Holland, Steven Biegel and Roger Sepaugh. The family wishes to thank the staff of Winkler Court, Heartsway Hospice for their tender care and a special thanks to caregiver, Patricia Mitchell.
