Mrs. Patsy Ross

Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Amanda Wall Ross, 85, of Carthage, Texas will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday night at Hawthorn’s. Patsy entered her heavenly home November 25, 2017 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Mrs. Patsy Amanda Wall Ross was born October 29, 1932 in the Alsop Community of Panola County, Texas. She was one of three children born to the marriage of William Emory and Ouida Jane Boyd Wall. Patsy was raised in Alsop attending schools there and would graduate Carthage High School with the class of 1951. Patsy married Franklin Clay Ross who preceded her in death in 2005. Patsy was a loving homemaker to her family. She was a seventy year member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as pianist and organist and church treasurer. Patsy was a known and loved face at First State Bank and Trust of Carthage devoting 42 years of her career there. She is also preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin Clay Ross; granddaughters, Pepper Lynn Green and Amanda Kay Barfield; sister, Elizabeth Ann Roe and brother-in-law Joe B. Roe; brother, Marvin Gene Wall and brother-in-law, Cullen Fyke. Mrs. Ross is survived by her daughters, Tina Crymes and husband Darrell of Whitehouse and Teresa Crume and husband Greg of Grand Saline; sisters-in-law, Norma Wall of Tyler, Billie Fyke of Pearland and Barbara Roe of Carthage; granddaughters, Jodi Bradshaw and husband David of Whitehouse and Courtni Jackson and husband Travis of Nacogdoches; grandson-in-law, Traye Barfield of Lindale; great grandchildren, Christian Nipper, Kaylee Barfield, Maddi Jackson, and Tatum Jackson; step-grandchildren, Amanda Carlson and husband Chris of Murphy, Sarah Flores and husband Edward of Whitehouse and Dillon Crymes of Whitehouse; step-great grandchildren, Kinsey Carlson, Cooper Carlson, Piper Carlson, Alex Flores, and Carolina Flores; nieces, Sandra Payne of Carthage, Jo Nell Phillips of Carthage, Karen Gibbs of Whitehouse and Karol Wolf of Tyler; nephews, Allan Wall of Lindale and Steve Fyke of Houston; many great nieces and nephews and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Christian Nipper, David Bradshaw, Travis Jackson, Traye Barfield, Dillon Crymes, Chris Carlson and Edward Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Robinson, Jack McIlwain, Travis Wall and Carl Bardwell.
