Mrs. Sandra Turner

Funeral services for Sandra Turner, 76, of Carthage, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth Holliday Turner was born June 12, 1948 in Marshall, Texas. She passed this life September 30 2024 peacefully at her Carthage Texas home. Sandra was the oldest of three children born to the marriage of Mildred Theresa Marie Eldridge and Leon Holliday. She was raised and schooled in Tatum graduating from Beckville High School with the Bearcat class of 1967. She began her working career with Karnack Ammunition, the Carthage Cup Company in the labor force, Ben Franklin and Ken Turner Pharmacy in sales. Sandra married Kenneth Rex “Ken” Turner April 17, 1987 and they celebrated 26 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2013. She was a member of the Pine Grove Assembly of Beckville, Texas. Sandra loved to travel, spend time in her yard gardening and cultivating her flowers. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Kim Holliday.Mrs. Turner is survived by her loving son, Shae Mannor and wife Brandy of Carthage; brother, Lonnie Holliday of Carthage; grandchildren, Payton Caldwell and husband Tim of Bossier, Joshua David Mannor and fiancé Payton Soto of Shreveport, Micah Tuff Mannor and Madison Rose Mannor; great grandchildren, Waylon and Nolan Caldwell, Brooklyn and Bryce DuBois; Kens children, Kenneth Rex Turner, Lynn Rowett, Roy Turner and their children; Kim Turner McCauley and husband Stephen of Carthage and their children, Jonathan and Jennifer; and Karen Lee Turner of Carthage and her children Cody and Kristina, special niece and caregiver, Paige Holliday of Carthage; numerous other nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Kevin May, Josh Mannor, Ricky Gibson, Keith Pittman, Dustin Holliday, Tim Caldwell and honorary pallbearers Tuff Mannor, Mark Fulton, Matt Pittman, Jeff Lee, Kolby Holliday, Craig Pittman and Chase Pittman.
