Funeral services for Mr. Billy Henderson, 80, of Timpson, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2020 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn Thrapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Billy Wayne Henderson was born April 3, 1940 in Logansport, LA. He passed this life December 28, 2020 at his Timpson home. Billy was one of three children born to the marriage of Lonnie Harris and Mildred Billingsley Henderson. He was raised and schooled in Longansport, LA. Mr. Henderson worked as a welder by trade. He retired from TUMC in Beckville, Texas after many years of service. He was a member of the Logansport First Baptist Church, loved motorcycles, gospel music and fast cars. He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Vesta Mae Henderson. Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife Betty Henderson of Timpson; children, Kevin Henderson and wife Ecaterina of Dallas, Karen Ann Haley of New Mexico and their mother Diane Cole of Carthage; brother, Jimmy Henderson and wife Bonnie of Logansport; sister, Beth Radcliff and husband Tom of Logansport; step children, Sherry’e Manley and husband Daniel of Canton, OH, Donnie Myers and wife Janette of Pittsburg, Deena Dennis and husband Willie of Timpson, Woody Myers of Timpson, Jeff Burr and wife Amanda of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Kaleb Aaron Haley, Gabriel Henderson, Dallas Dennis, Christina Meshell; great grandchildren, Paisley Meshell, Brookelyn and Zoey Smith, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
