Mr. David LaGrone Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Mr. David LaGrone, 67, of Deadwood, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E.J. Adams and Rev. David Baze officiating. Burial will follow in the Deadwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday night at Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Virgil David LaGrone was born August 14, 1954 in Carthage, Texas. He passed this life September 17, 2021 in Carthage, Texas. David was one of three boys born to the marriage of Roy Conway and Juanita Dean Emmons LaGrone. He was raised in Deadwood, schooled in Carthage graduating with the Bulldog class of 1973. He married the love of his life Charlotte Elizabeth Adams March 30, 1974, there was no one he loved more. They had two children and three grandsons he loved dearly. Mr. LaGrone began his oil and gas career as roughneck, tool pusher and drilling superintendent working his way into directional drilling for pipeline and fiber optics. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God in Carthage, Texas. David had God given mechanical talents, he loved the outdoors mowing and working in the yard, old westerns and his dog Butterscotch. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. LaGrone is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte LaGrone of Deadwood; son, Wesley LaGrone and wife Terry of Deadwood; daughter, Melissa LaGrone Cernosek and husband Ryan of Hallsville; brother, Roy LaGrone of Deadwood, Randy LaGrone and wife Geneva of Deadwood; grandsons, Colton, Jacob, and Justin LaGrone, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Wesley LaGrone, Colton LaGrone, Jacob LaGrone, Justin LaGrone, Ryan Cernosek, Keith Holland, Josh Baker, Tyler Castillo, and Jadyn Baker.
