Mr. David Michael Priest

Private graveside funeral services for Mr. David Michael Priest, 69, of Carthage, Texas will be held in the Panola Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Otto officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. David Michael Priest was born December 23, 1950 in Bastrop, LA. He passed this life October 25, 2020 in Marshall, Texas. Michael was born to the marriage of Charles David and Ivadale Crawford Priest. He was a graduate of Bienville High School with the class of 1968. He was an Eagle Scout. Michael married Linda Faye Fabacher who would precede him in death after many years of marriage. Mr. Priest worked in the oil field as a muddlogger for over 30 years before his retirement. He loved birdwatching, and anything in the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Kenny McFadden. Mr. Priest is survived by his loving daughters, Tressie Huff and husband Chad of Hallsville, Renee McFadden and husband Shane of Carthage; brother, John Priest and wife Dell of Bastrop, LA; sister, Linda Johnson and husband Roger of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Triston and Tyler Huff both of Hallsville, and Brett McFadden of Carthage; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family requests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Carthage or the First United Methodist Church of Hallsville
