Graveside services for Mrs. Evern Collins, 87, of Henderson, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021, at Gary Cemetery in Gary Texas with Rev. David Humber officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mrs. Collins will lie in state Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 1 - 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home and the family will receive friends Friday, March 26, 2021, from 12 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Evern M. Collins was born March 6, 1934 in Center, Texas to the marriage of Vessie and Mertie Berry Eaves and passed away on March 23, 2021 in Henderson. She was a resident of the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home. Mrs. Collins attended and graduated from Tenaha High School. She was married to Lake Hall until his death, and later met and married David Collins. She worked for Beall’s Department Store in Beaumont for many years. Mrs. Collins enjoyed sitting quietly and working word search books and visiting and cooking for her family. Most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Humber and husband Reynold, and a son, Keith Hall and wife Gay Lynn. Mrs. Collins had one granddaughter Emily Pipak and husband, Josh: grandsons, Blake Humber and wife Christina, Aaron Hall and Brandon Leger. She had three great granddaughters, Trinity Humber, Torryn Humber, Gabbi Johns and great grandson, Hunter Pipak. Mrs. Collins also leaves behind nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Aunt Sweetheart”. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Humber, Josh Pipak, Hunter Pipak, Brandon Leger and Aaron Hall.
