Mrs. Frances Laverne Rushing

Hawthorn Funeral Home announces the passing of Mrs. Frances Rushing, 94, of Carthage, Texas. Mrs. Frances Laverne Pierce Rushing was born April 1, 1927 in Carthage, Texas. She passed this life January 21, 2022 in Overton, Texas. She was one of five children born to the marriage of John and Betty Pierce. She was raised and schooled in Carthage. Frances married Buck Rushing who preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Rushing worked 27 years for Carthage Cup before she retired. She is also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Betty Collins, Lessie Nixs, Albert Pierce, and James Pierce. Mrs. Rushing is survived by her devoted son, John Rushing and wife Angela of Carthage; grandchildren, Haley Rushing of Dallas and Tim Rushing of Kuwait, other relatives and a host of friends. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home. Her ashes will be laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage, Texas.
