    Mrs. Hazel Vivian Brown

    April 14, 1925 - March 15, 2019

    Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Vivian Wood Carter Kendall Brown, 93, of Liberty City, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pete Williams and A.J. Wood Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in White Rock Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Hazel Vivian Wood Kendall Brown was born April 14, 1925 in Garrison, Texas and passed this life March 15, 2019 in Liberty City, Texas. Hazel was born to the marriage of John W. and Allie Hooper Wood. She was a homemaker who loved sewing, and quilting for her family she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Caswell Carter, brothers, Lavaughn, A.J., Chester, and Douglas Wood; sisters, Evelyn Loven and Gladys Loven. Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Nelson Carter and wife Kathryn of Tyler, and Allen Carter of Grand Prairie; daughter, Alice Jobe of Liberty City; brother, James Orville Wood of Broken Arrow; sister, Janice Maloney and husband Peter of Broken Arrow; ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Skaosti Holland, Cheney Carter, Jasper Carter, Tammi Holland, David Daugherty, and Virginia Martinez.
