    Mrs. Helen Eugenia Alexander

    October 10, 1948 - October 9, 2021

    Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Alexander, 73, of Gary, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rayford Beall officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday October 11, 2021 at Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mrs. Helen Eugenia Alexander was born October 10, 1948 in Beckville, Texas. She passed this life October 9, 2021 in Henderson, Texas. Helen was one of five children born to the marriage of Hubert Paul and Evelyn Theresa Waldrop Jones. She was raised and schooled in Beckville. Helen graduated Beckville High School and attended Panola Jr. College. Mrs. Alexander worked as a dump truck driver, bookkeeper for Wallace Construction Company, bus driver for B.I.S.D. and served as Transportation Coordinator for 30 years. She was a loving homemaker to her family, active as a Bearcat Band Booster and cheerleading sponsor. Helen loved animals, flowers, cooking, reading and sewing wedding and prom gowns for many family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elizabeth Ann Walker Jones; brother and sister-in-law, James Earl and Dianne Jones, Charles and Lou Jones; nephew, Paul Jones, Jr. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her daughters, Thresa White and husband Mark of Gary, Sandra Ruddell and husband Micah of Henderson; brother, Clayborn Jones and wife Rose of Beckville, Daniel Jones and wife Sharon of Diana; grandchildren, J.P. Woods and wife Hannah of Gary, Raegan Morris and husband Ryan of Carthage; great grandchildren, Kaylor Morris of Carthage; step great grandchildren, Noah Pass and Aria Hoover of Gary; father of her children, Billy Wayne Wallace and wife Ollie of Henderson; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be, Jason Jones, Ryan Morris, J.P. Woods, Mark White, Scottie Wallace and Micah Ruddell. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Wallace and Levi Cohorst.
