Juanita Wedgeworth Clinton entered Heaven at the age on 90 on August 6, 2021. She was born in the Snap Community to Walter Reese Wedgeworth and Grace Florence Bellamy Wedgeworth. She graduated from Carthage High School and then Panola College. She met and married the love of her life, Hubbard Alvin “Bubba” Clinton on July 22, 1950. They were married 54 years, raised three children, were the best grandparents, and built a life well lived. Mrs. Clinton was an active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Clinton was preceded in death by her mother and father, Walter Reese and Grace Wedgeworth, stepmother, Ruby Sue Echols Wedgeworth, husband, Bubba, and a son, Ronald Worth Clinton. Also preceding Mrs. Clinton in death are a brother and sister in law, Tracy and Jessie Jo Wedgeworth, a brother and sister in law, Aubrey and Joyce Wedgeworth, sister in law, Mary Wedgeworth and nephew, Justin Perry Wedgeworth. Left to cherish her memory are daughter and son in law, Lisa and James Bass, and son and daughter in law, Don and Amy Clinton, both of Carthage, Texas. Grandchildren Meagan and Eric Blanks of Longview, Texas, Cutter and Bre Clinton of Snap Community, Kellen and Clayton Moore of Carthage, Texas, Cade and Bri Clinton of Forney, Texas, Cole and Lauren Clinton of Tyler, Texas, and Cooper Clinton of Nacogdoches, Texas and great grandchildren, Jack Blanks, Asher Moore, Landyn Blanks, Evie Blanks, Kase Moore, Hudsyn Clinton (arriving in November), and Knox Clinton (arriving in December); brother and sister in law, James and Dorothy Wedgeworth of Carthage, Texas; brother, Joe Dan Wedgeworth of Carthage, Texas and brother and sister in law, Grady Bill and Jane Wedgeworth of Carthge, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clinton loved her family more than anything in this world. She was so many things to so many people. To us, she was “Nana.” There was no place like Nana’s house. You were sure to be fed and taken care of the minute you walked through her door. She loved to host and entertain and she was the best at both. From a home cooked meal (if you’ve never had Nana’s rolls, well, you’re missing out!) to somewhere just to sit and stay awhile, Nana was just what you needed, when you needed it. All were welcome at Nana’s house. Our Nana was a woman who loved Jesus. There was never any doubt in her mind where she was going! She was full of grace and the classiest lady you’ll ever meet. Now, don’t get us wrong – She would tell you like it is in a heartbeat! You never had to wonder what she thought, because she was sure to let you know. Her wit and sense of humor will remain unmatched. Playing a joke and pulling pranks were two of her greatest talents, second only to back scratching and rocking babies. She could truly do it all. If you’re reading this and you knew our Nana, you can probably think of a time or two you were on the receiving end of her shenanigans, and that would make her smile. We will miss her this side of Heaven. There will never be another. But, oh what a reunion she is having now. We know that we will see her again. Until then, Nana would want you to know that life is short. Put on a pot of coffee, spend time with your loved ones, soak in the little moments, and love each other. That’s all that truly matters. Our family would like to thank Heartsway Hospice for their excellent care. We would also like to thank all the wonderful staff of Winkler House.
