    Mr. Perry Lynn Pitts

    March 8, 1956 - September 7, 2018

    Graveside funeral services will be held for Mr. Perry Pitts, 62 of Dixie Lake will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Deadwood Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Aaron Bequette and Mr. Shannon Baker officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday night at Hawthorn Funeral Home. Mr. Pitts passed this life September 7, 2018 at his Dixie Lake home. Mr. Perry Lynn Pitts was born March 8, 1956 in Quanah, Texas. He was raised and graduated schools at Quanah, Texas. Perry moved to Dixie Lake from Dallas in 1978. He spent much of his career in the printing business with Complete Printing and Publishing for almost 20 years and retired after working for the Panola County Road and Bridge Dept. He married Rhonda Johnson April 9, 2005 and the two spent their time on Dixie fishing and enjoying life. Perry loved motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, P.D. and Dorothy Gilpatrick. Mr. Pitts is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Johnson Pitts of Dixie Lake, mother, Dorothy Wynell Massey, son, Kevin Pitts of Carthage, step daughter, Mindy Baker and husband Shannon of Longview, brothers, Ricky Pitts and wife Donna of Vernon, Fred Pitts of Wichita Falls, sister, Michelle Wise of Wichita Falls, brother-in-law, Terry Johnson and wife Melinda of Longview, grandchildren, Katelynn Pitts of Carthage, step grandchildren, Sydney and Aubrey Baker both of Longview, nieces and nephews, Dawnette Burke, Clarissa Looney, Natasha Nichole, Jeremy Brown, Jennifer Ramirez, and Melissa Arthur, many great nieces and nephews and special friends, Dan and Lynette Minturn. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Downing, Dan Minturn, Shannon Baker, Randy Leitke, Jamie Scott, and Jerediah Peterson. Special thanks to Heartsway Hospice, Montana Jones and Mary and Kenny McDaniel.
