    Mr. Ron Clinton

    December 22, 1963 - December 15, 2018

    Today Ronald Worth Clinton walks the streets of gold. Ron, 54, went to be with the Lord December 15, 2018. He was born December 22, 1963. He was the son of Hubbard Alvin (Bubba) and Juanita Wedgeworth Clinton. Ron attended Carthage Schools where he participated in football, baseball and track. He graduated with the Class of 1982. He furthered his education, graduating from East Texas Police Academy, Panola College and Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Ron retired from the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was active in both the Carthage and Clayton Volunteer Fire Departments. He was, also, a Mason and Shriner as a member of the Carthage and Mina Masonic Lodges, as well as a member of the Carthage Noon Lions Club. Surviving Ron are his two sons, Cutter Clinton and wife BreAnn and Cade Clinton and fiancée, Brianne McDowell; mother, Juanita Clinton; sister, Lisa Bass and husband James; brother, Don Clinton and wife Amy; nephews and nieces, Meagan Blanks, Kellen Moore, Cole Clinton and Cooper Clinton; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. Ron is preceded in death by his father, H.A. (Bubba) Clinton and grandparents, Walter and Ruby Sue Wedgeworth, and Alvin Curtis and Bessie Mae Clinton. Serving as pallbearers will be, Jody Wedgeworth, Virgil Wedgeworth, Denny Wedgeworth, W.A. Wedgeworth, Jamie Wedgeworth, Keith Wedgeworth, Jerrod Wedgeworth, Tim Humphries, and honorary pallbearers will be both Carthage and Clayton Volunteer Fire Departments. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Mason officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
