    Mrs. Sandra Darlene Lummus

    June 22, 1963 - September 11, 2018

    Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Darlene Whitlow Lummus, 55, of Laneville, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2018 in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Rockhill Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Mrs. Sandra Darlene Whitlow Lummus was born June 22, 1963 in Modesto, CA to Troy Truman and Lily Beatrices Hamlett Whitlow and passed away September 11, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. She attended Henderson schools graduating with the class of 1981 and then attended beauty school at Starr College. Sandra married James Wesley Lummus on March 31, 1984 and together they celebrated 34 years of marriage. Mrs. Lummus worked in construction and then along with her husband owned and operated S & J Pilot Car Service and was a member of Laneville First Baptist Church. Sandra enjoyed crafting and loved her family and the time they spent together. She was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Allen Whitlow and a grandson, Wyatt Reid Lummus. Mrs. Lummus is survived by her loving husband, J. W. Lummus of Laneville; parents, Troy and Lily Whitlow of Mt. Enterprise; sons, James Lummus and wife Heather of Azle and Wesley Lummus and wife Britny of Mt. Enterprise; daughter, Lacy Cross and husband Jarrett of Mt. Enterprise; brothers, Troy Lee Whitlow and wife Denise of Lounce MI, David Whitlow of Laneville, Bob Whitlow and wife Gail of Garrison, Darryl Whitlow and wife Angel of Indiana, Jody Whitlow and wife Kristy of Mt. Enterprise and Jeffery Whitlow and wife Jeannie of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Kendall Lummus, Paytin Lummus, Evan Lummus, Jaxton Cross and Hayden Cross; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
