Sherry Ann Woods

Funeral services for Ms. Sherry A Woods, 63, of Carthage, will be on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Sherry Ann Woods was born on August 10, 1958, to parents William Thomas “Tommy” Woods and Judith Ann Andrus. She passed this life on April 3, 2022, in Carthage. She was raised in south Louisiana and schooled in Carthage. She attended cosmetology school in Sherman, Texas and became a licensed beautician. She loved to sit and crochet and enjoyed her time hunting at the Beckville hunting club. Ms. Sherry is preceded in death by her father, one son, Bobby Leon “Trey” Southall III and a brother-in-law, Charles Holcomb. She is survived by her mother, Judy Robbins; daughters, Shawn Pope and her husband Clint, and Courtney Miller, both of Carthage; sisters, Debbie Holcomb and Leisa Woods, both of Carthage; brother, Tommy Woods and his wife Deborah of Kilgore; grandchildren, Triston Pope, Britney Pope, Dianne Mueller, Nicole Stillwell, Melodee Miller and Harmonee Miller and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other friends and relatives. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Woods Jr, Curtis Zigler, Triston Pope, Kory Sharpe, Lawsen Sharpe, and Graham Jones.
