Mr. Troy Stephens

January 29, 1965 - April 11, 2022

Funeral service for Mr. Troy Stephens, 57, of Kilgore, Texas will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Teresa Richenberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Deadwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:30 – 7:30 at the funeral home. Mr. Troy Stephens was born on January 29, 1965, being one out of four children to parents Truitt and Betty Mayfield Stephens. He passed this life peacefully at his home on Monday, April 11, 2022. Mr. Stephens had a passion of fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He also loved to raise chickens and tend to them. He was a devout Christian and was saved at an early age. Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by his grandparents and one sister, Trudy Stephens. Mr. Stephens is survived by his father, Truitt Stephens and wife Betty of Gary; mother, Betty Kindred and husband Art of Kilgore; his loving wife, Melissa Stephens of Kilgore; sons, Trey Wayne Stephens and wife Sarah, and Justin Earl Stephens, both of Kilgore; daughters, Chelsea Bostick and husband Keith of Lufkin and LaWanda Hutton and husband Brad of Conroe; brothers, Truitt and Josh Stephens; sisters, Lawayna Burdeshaw and husband Dustin and Teresa Richenberger and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Lainey, Emersynn, Saxsen and Jaxsen Stephens, Izabelle and Rosalie Bostick, Heaven Bible, Paisley Hutton, Kenneth III, Charles Thomas Jr, Abigail, Nicholas, and Rainy Randall. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Stephens, Justin Stephens, Truitt Stephens, Wayne Richenberger, Kenneth Stephens, and Shawn Farris.
