Mr. Huey Bozeman

Funeral services for Mr. Huey P. Bozeman, 79, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Bozeman passed away December 7, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Huey Pierce Bozeman was born August 31, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Huey was one of twelve children born to James and Lillie Mae Hudson Bozeman. He was raised in Shreveport and graduated from Fair Park High School. Mr. Bozeman served his country through the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force and retired with twenty years of service. After retiring from the military he worked for the Miller Brewing Company and later with Youngblood Oil Company. Huey was a Jack-of-all-trades and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dixie Lee Bozeman, James Bozeman, Arthur Bozeman, Lavone Bozeman, Claudine McCauley, Estelle Helton, Jerry Bozeman, Tommy Bozeman; and his special wife-in-law, Judy Walker. Mr. Bozeman is survived by his loving wife, Valeria Bozeman of Carthage; sons, Ray Bozeman of Dallas, Bobby Bozeman of Carthage; daughters, Tammy Waters and husband Albert of Carthage, Violetta Hickman and husband William of Crowley, Lillie Wilson and husband John of Burleson, Teri Draper and husband Scott of Carthage, Traci Bozeman of Carthage, Ramona Short of Ft. Worth; brothers, Frank Bozeman and wife Jean of Spring, Ronny Bozeman and wife Dorothy of Crystal Beach; sister Alpha Anderson of Carthage; brothers-in-law, Greg Walker of Katy; Bob Inlow of Summerside, OH; sister-in-law, Jeanette Bozeman of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Clarissa Parker and husband Josh, Tommy Bozeman, Kaylee Sparks and husband Michael, Brady Gulliam, Kendrick Bozeman, Jessie Reed, Cody Lucas, Devan Lucas, Dezie Lucas, Brandon Hickman, Blake Hickman and wife Laura, Bret Hickman, Justin, Anita, Savannah and Lauren Vaquera; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Bozeman, Tommy Bozeman, Brady Gulliam, Kendrick Bozeman, Albert Waters, Scott Draper, Ray Bozeman and William Hickman.
