Funeral services for Mrs. Lisa Jane Doria, 50, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kirby Hill and Rev. Hal Rymel officiating. Burial will follow in Langley Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Doria died Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Carthage, Texas. Mrs. Lisa Jane Langford Doria was born July 23, 1961 in Carthage, Texas. She was one of two daughters born to the marriage of Thomas Ervin and Betty Jane Fite Langford. Lisa was raised and schooled in Carthage graduating with the Carthage High School class of 1979. She received her nursing degree at Tyler Junior College in 1985 and began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. It was in Houston that Lisa met and married Anthony Shawn Doria July 25, 1987. While living in St. Louis and in Houston, Lisa and Tony raised their son Aaron Joseph Thomas Doria and daughter, Alyssa Renee Doria until 1994 when they divorced and Lisa moved to Carthage with the children. Through a miracle of God’s amazing grace and mercy, Tony and Lisa reconciled and remarried in 1997. Lisa cared for the hurting at nursing homes, hospitals, and home health agencies in the East Texas area and together, Lisa and Tony raised Aaron and Alyssa in Carthage for the next 15 years. Lisa loved her family and friends passionately. Lisa cared for her patients and all of the hurting in the world lovingly. Above all else, Lisa loved her Lord Jesus Christ faithfully and fully. Lisa is preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Doria is survived by her mother, Betty Langford of Carthage, devoted husband, Tony Doria of Carthage, children Aaron Doria of Carthage and Alyssa Doria of Tyler, sister, Patty Langford Romero and husband Juan of Carthage, uncle Billy Langford and Nell of Carthage, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Langford, Dennis Penner, Alan Kiker, Josh Langford, Jeff Doria, Austin Higgins, Billy Brady, Brad Tilbury and Tyler Higgins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Doria and Nolan Hodges.
