Mrs. Lynda Anne Perkins

Funeral services for Lynda Anne Perkins, 79, of Gary, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Langley Cemetery, with Bro. Cody Bird officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Lynda Ann Perkins was born on April 15, 1947, in Rusk County, Texas, to Albert Allen Boshear and Sarah Estelle Dailey Boshear. She passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at her home in Gary, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. One of seven children, Lynda was raised and attended school in Henderson, Texas, as well as Kansas and California. She married the love of her life, James Roger "Tex" Perkins, and together they shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. Throughout her life, Lynda was known for her strong work ethic and creative spirit. She worked for Continental Graphics, where she helped produce Boeing instructional manuals, and later spent many years serving customers at Waffle House. Gifted in many artistic talents, Lynda enjoyed painting, singing, songwriting, and playing the piano. She also loved playing bingo and competed in championship pool tournaments. Above all else, Lynda cherished her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and generations that followed. She was immensely proud of each of them, and her love and devotion to her family will remain her greatest legacy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Roger "Tex" Perkins; her parents, Albert Allen Boshear and Sarah Estelle Dailey Boshear; her brothers, Walt Boshear, Ed Boshear, and Jay Boshear; her daughter, Carol Morton; and her son, Ronnie Campbell. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children: David Campbell of Gary; Allen Campbell and wife, Christy, of Antlers, Oklahoma; Bryant Campbell and wife, Tammie, of DeBerry; Robert Campbell and wife, Julia, of Fort Worth; and Robin Jordan and husband, Robert, of Gary; son-in-law Robert Morton. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Boshear and wife, Cheryl, of Michigan; her sisters, Betty Ault and husband, Marian, of California, Missouri; and Carol Frisby of Las Vegas, Nevada. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. Lynda's kindness, creativity, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
