Mr. Richard Andrew Boelter

Memorial services for Mr. Richard Boelter, 58, of Beckville, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Bryant, and Justin Pierce officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9:00 p.m. Sunday night at Hawthorns. Mr. Richard Andrew “Rich” Boelter was born August 26, 1967, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He passed this life October 21, 2025, at his Beckville, Texas home. Richard was the third of five children born to the marriage of Barbara Ann Gauerke and Gerald Roger Boelter. He was raised and schooled in Oconomowoc graduating with the high school class of 1985. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Psychology through the University of Wisconsin in Madison and obtained his nursing degree through the Panola College of nursing. Mr. Boelter spent his career in Nursing through Good Shepherd beginning in 2005. Rich was a light to his profession through his care and compassion, concern for coworkers and nurturing and mentoring new nurses. He dedicated these last ten years to patients in the ICU. Rich was a member of the Cypress Valley Bible Church. He was known as “Big Papa”, loved time with family and friends cooking, gardening, bird watching and following the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. He was quick witted and quick to remind you “I’m kind of a big deal.” He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Boelter is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Pierce Boelter of Beckville, children, Madison Boelter of Beckville, Grace Williford and Dillin Adley of Elysian Fields, BreAnna Mitchell and husband Keith of Elysian Fields, Bailey McDowell of Houston, Kendall McDowell and Christine Littrell of Humble, Craig McDowell and wife Jen of Dayton, step children, Ella Howard of Beckville, Charlee Howard of Beckville, Dana Russell and husband Austin of Beckville, Dustin Carr of Beckville, Dalton Pierce of Beckville; siblings, Todd Boelter and wife Carolyn of Bettendorf, Iowa, Marie Jasen and husband Jim of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tim Boelter and wife Lynn of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Helen Peterson and husband Scott of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and his devoted work family at Good Shepherd.
